Defined Contribution Plan
A defined contribution plan (required participation after one year of employment) with HANO contributing 5% of the employee’s annual income into the plan if the employee contributes 0.5%. Also, employees may participate in the Louisiana State Deferred Compensation Plan on a pre-tax basis.
Employees can participate, at no cost, to two Term Life policies: a Basic Life ($5000) policy immediately provided by the Hartford and a Basic Life ($20,000) policy after one year of employment provided by MetLife. Employees may also enroll in Basic Supplemental Life Insurance (up to $50,000) with 50% of the premium paid by HANO provided by OGB/Prudential. Basic Life spousal and dependent children insurance is also available.
